JANUARY 2024

Wednesday 3 January, 11am


When Dad feels like a little bit of Sunday afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans!

Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag.

Join the Heelers in their first live theatre show made just for you. 

Featuring brilliantly created puppets, this is Bluey as you’ve never seen it before, brought to real life in this UK premiere.

The boy’s name was Hansel. The girl’s name was Gretel.

The dad was a woodcutter. The mum was a bread maker.

In the rubble of their war-torn village, the woodcutting dad and the breadmaking mum decide that the only chance they have to give their children a safer life is to lead them – and leave them – in the woods. Left to fend for themselves, Hansel and Gretel’s plans to find their way home get side-tracked, quite literally, by a trail of treats too good to resist and a strange old lady with a plan of her own…

Red Riding Hood is tasked with delivering bread to her Grandmother, deep in the heart of the fairy-tale forest. But en route, Red meets a cunning Wolf who tricks her into taking a different path. Along the way, Red stumbles into a colourful cast of characters, including a scary witch, a talking cat and a rather persuasive Peddler. Join our ragtag band of wild musicians as they guide all the family through this famous tale with new twists, turns, magic and song.

A minute of this is an infinity

Five women in Northern California lie outside on chaise longues and philosophise.

Annie Baker’s (The Flick, The Antipodes) new play is a surprisingly funny inquiry into the complexity of suffering, and what it means to desire in a body that’s failing you.

Fri 26 Jan: Post-Show Q&A (BSL Interpreted)


One man has twenty-four hours to perform his father’s funeral rites. This intimate, final ceremony brings to life a rich tapestry of shared memories and a complex relationship cut short by death. A powerful journey of love, loss, and what it means to be a parent.

Combining striking visual and physical storytelling with dynamic projection and a resonant soundtrack, internationally acclaimed theatre makers Ramesh Meyyappan and George Mann collaborate for the first time to create an epic non-verbal solo show.

The performance includes a soundtrack with heavy use of bass so that it can be felt or heard by audience members.

When Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship, invite Darius to share their bed for a night, a new and intimate connection is ignited. Hailed as “a tender and remarkably beautiful show” (Financial Times), My Neighbour Totoro is an enchanting coming-of-age story exploring the magical fantasy world of childhood and the transformative power of imagination, as it follows one extraordinary summer in the lives of sisters Satsuki and Mei. Book soon for this unmissable, “huge, healing hug of a show” (The Stage).

An ensemble of performers weave together Hardy’s words and the extreme physicality of circus to tell this tale of power, loss and endurance.

Against a backdrop of projections, the cast wield wooden planks, climb shifting walls and move through ropes and swathes of linen to evoke the vast landscapes and interior worlds of Hardy’s Wessex.

Female relationships, sexual desire, consent, privilege and poverty; themes which resonate now as much as ever. See Tess as Hardy intended; strong, heroic and powerful.

Ockham’s Razor are a contemporary circus company who combine circus and visual theatre to make work that is arresting and entertaining.

Richard Burton, newly married to Elizabeth Taylor, is to play the title role in an experimental new production of Hamlet under John Gielgud’s exacting direction. But as rehearsals progress, two ages of theatre collide and the collaboration between actor and director soon threatens to unravel.

Over the course of a hot summer’s day, a family gathers to welcome a newcomer into their midst. But as the vodka flows and dances are shared, passions boil over and the limits of love are tested.

What happens when the happiest day of your life opens the door to a new, frightening and uncertain future?

Toby Park and Aitor Basauri are at the end of the road. The other Spymonkeys have taken themselves off to a better place, and they’re about to call it a day. But when a mega-rich philanthropist and her theatrically inclined niece make them an offer they can’t refuse, this comedy duo are given one last chance. Do they have what it takes to perform the classic Greek comedy The Frogs? With golden-age glamour, modern-day angst and a jumping chorus of tap-dancing frogs, this is Aristophanes performed like you’ve never seen it before.

One morning Gregor Samsa awakes to find himself changed. To those around him he is dangerous, untouchable vermin. Worse than that, he is a burden.

A word said, an action out of place, the opening of old wounds, none of which can be undone. Until now Gregor has woken every morning, quietly left to take the same train, and worked to pay off the family debt. But that world explodes on this morning of brutal metamorphosis.

Plaza Suite, a hilarious and sharp-witted exploration of love & marriage, captivated Broadway audiences with its charm. Now, London’s West End has the chance to grandstand two world class performers as they portray three distinctly unique couples who each find themselves in side-splitting situations within one iconic hotel room: The Plaza Suite.

Among these intriguing characters are Karen and Sam, a long-married couple facing the possibility of their relationship making an early checkout. Muriel and Jesse, former high school sweethearts, seem destined for an extended stay. Parents of the bride, Norma and Roy grapple with the challenge of coaxing their daughter out of the bathroom to celebrate her impending nuptials.

MARCH 2024

You all know the classic whodunnit story, there has been a murder at a country manor and an inspector is set on the case to find who the culprit is. However, when this plot is given to the accident-prone thespians at The Cornley Drama Society, everything that can go wrong… does!

The actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Do you ever find out who murdered Charles Haversham? You’ll have to see for yourself!

Deirdre O’Connell makes her London stage debut reprising her Tony-winning tour-de-force performance as Dana, a psych ward chaplain who was held captive by a patient in a series of Florida motels for five months. 

Dana Higginbotham’s remarkable true story is told in her own words and using her own voice, with recorded interviews reconstructed for the stage by Dana’s son, playwright Lucas Hnath, and meticulously lip-synced by O’Connell. The result is a groundbreaking work that shatters the boundaries of real and artifice, and challenges our understanding of good and evil.

Pete the badger likes everything to be neat and tidy: the flowers, the leaves, even the other animals. But, when autumn comes, he gets a little bit carried away with cleaning up the forest and accidently destroys his own home!

It’s 1948 and on board the Windrush Empire, journeying over from the West Indies to England, Ferdy, Bernie, Dennis and Lennie are full of expectations and aspirations.

Eager to make successes of themselves, they are optimistic about what the future holds, plus Dennis is certain that showing his brother’s posthumous medal from World War II will mean he is welcomed heartily. Building this new life will take focus and sacrifice, and the young men make the bold decision to forswear wine and women for three whole years and devote themselves to their future in London. 

Sybil, Mary, Zulieka and Kathy have other ideas. They know that man cannot live by bread alone! So each one's resolve is put to the test as the reality of life in a less-than-welcoming England, not to mention the weather, makes forgoing the warmth of female company hard to resist. To help them on their way, Tamino and Papageno are given musical instruments enhanced with magical powers. And these prove invaluable. The travellers have a series of trials and tribulations to conquer to find a deeper understanding of true love and happiness.

The painting is a quaint street scene from 1920s Vienna; the work of a failed artist who abandoned his original vocation for Nazism… Nicola wants to sell it. Philipp wants to keep it. Philipp’s wife Judith wants to burn it.

Loved by two half-brothers, Jenůfa is secretly pregnant by one of them. Abandoned by the child’s father, she gives birth alone, only assisted by her stepmother. Unaware of the child, the second brother pledges to marry Jenůfa, but, as their wedding looms, tragedy strikes.
