Witness an animated film come to life as two brilliant visual artists create a transformative love-story live on stage through sketching, painting and film.
Imagination knows no bounds in this remarkable love-letter to the creative process. Antechamber is the start of an idea, an animated film, a show and an exhibition all at once. It tells the tale of a hard-working young man who reconnects with his childhood and falls in love after coming across an old photograph.

In the 15th and 16th centuries, the Republic of Venice was one of the wealthiest and most culturally diverse city states in Europe.

Its merchant fleet dominated Mediterranean commerce and trade and its influence spread from Northern Europe to the Turkish Ottoman Empire and beyond.

The Republic’s cosmopolitan culture fostered astonishing creative activity. Situated on the water, the city of Venice was an environment of shimmering light and ever-shifting colours. This informed its painters who, with access to the best imported pigments, developed new means of applying colour to render the effects of atmosphere and texture. They further benefitted from a wide variety of patrons, including the government, religious confraternities, and a learned aristocracy.

Join Deaf Lecturer John Wilson for a short tour in British Sign Language exploring the paintings of this remarkable city.

Tue 6—Sat 10 Feb, 19.45pm and Sat 10 at 2.30pm

Unravel the mysteries of the human body in this imaginative and poetic journey to our very essence from this renowned Spanish puppet company.

Join us for an anatomy class like no other, where questions about what makes us human come to life. What are we made of? What is a body? Where does it go when we die?

Entrañas (roughly translated to Insides) is a beautiful piece of visual theatre that explores different aspects of the body in a profoundly personal way using handmade objects, images and a moving original soundtrack.

Performed in Spanish, with English surtitles.
